Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I - Engine Shop

About the role

We are recruiting for Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I will be responsible for off-wing engine, APU, and component maintenance to maintain airworthiness and operational status within the scope of the role. The engineer will direct, guide, and lead the assigned operations team of lead mechanics and mechanics by applying specialized technical knowledge.

• Plan assigned activities effectively and efficiently, operating equipment or using tooling relative to assigned tasks within the framework of Qatar Airways procedures.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented, recorded, and completed as per the applicable Technical Publication Manual and regulations to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
• Exercise license/approval privileges in relation to the accomplishment of scheduled or unscheduled maintenance and rectification to support operation.
• Hold responsibility for the final release of work accomplished by the mechanics, ensuring tasks meet company standards and targets such as dispatch reliability and acceptable deferred defect levels.
• Ensure delivery standards of QR products are met; engine and component maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with laid-down policies and procedures, providing satisfactory support to internal and external customers.
• Implement solutions to technical problems within the range of authority and ensure that engine or component serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements.
