Aircraft Mechanic – Heavy Maintenance

Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance services in support of operational and production requirements, ensuring all maintenance and related activities are performed in full compliance with QCAA/EASA, approved company procedures, customer requirements, and authorized aircraft maintenance data AMM, TSM, & IPC.

• Perform aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, engineering orders, technical publications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections and operational tests of aircraft systems, components, and structures to assess serviceability, quality, and performance under supervision of Engineers.
• Adjust, align, calibrate, and functionally test aircraft systems using approved tooling, test equipment, and measuring devices.
• Inspect engines, airframe structures, and components for defects such as cracks, leaks, wear, and damage.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble aircraft components and systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and structural elements.
• Carry out general servicing tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, brake inspections, and servicing of systems in accordance with maintenance requirements.
• Repair, modify, and rebuild aircraft structures and components (e.g., wings, fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units) in line with approved drawings and technical data.
• Perform engine and system removals and installations using approved lifting equipment such as hoists or forklifts.
• Modify aircraft systems or structures in accordance with approved engineering instructions and modification documents.
• Troubleshoot technical defects and implement effective technical solutions within the scope of authorization.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety, quality, and human factors standards.
• Support licensed engineers, supervisors, and team leaders as required to achieve maintenance targets.
• Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the Head of Department.
