Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Heavy‑Duty Gas Turbine
Field Service Engineer – Mechanical Heavy‑Duty Gas Turbine will advise and counsel on pre‑defined maintenance activities, including testing, adjustment, programming, and other services as agreed with the headquarters technical assistance team.
Responsibilities- Handle mechanical inspection, including CI, HGPI, and MI for heavy‑duty gas turbine and its auxiliaries.
- Plan and prepare maintenance schedules with customers and troubleshoot technical queries with the technical support team.
- Lead discussions with customers for the planning and implementation of mechanical‑related NICs/TILs, and follow up until completion.
- Maintain documented history of all mechanical modifications for the covered units and prepare effective field service reports.
- Support end‑user operation & maintenance staff with diagnostics counseling and address maintenance/operational issues on covered units.
- Perform geometric dimensional checks of foundation, equipment, and auxiliaries’ skid positioning, levelling, and alignment.
- Handle new‑unit erection, installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning of gas turbines and auxiliaries, including lube oil, starting, fuel gas, filter house, and water wash systems.
- Advise on interpretation of drawings for installation optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- More than 7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas / Power / Refinery / Turbo machinery industries.
- Able to perform major inspections and overhauls on HDGT – FR 5/2, FR6B, FR 7E, and/or FR 9E.
- Ability to perform laser alignments and borescope inspections on all machines.
- Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and customers, demonstrating active‑listening and a growth mindset.
