Job Summary

The Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring to ensure timely and efficient execution of projects. This role involves developing detailed project plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. The position plays a critical role in driving project efficiency, minimizing delays, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate planning tools
  • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in coordination with stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks, implementing corrective actions proactively
  • Prepare and update project reports, dashboards, and progress tracking documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project plans
  • Analyze resource requirements and ensure optimal allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare planned vs. actual progress and recommend improvements
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company standards
  • Support project management in decision-making through data-driven insights and planning reports
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on schedule performance and key risks
  • Implement planning best practices to improve efficiency and reduce project delays
  • Maintain proper documentation of schedules, changes, and planning records
Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling
  • Proven experience in large‑scale industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects preferred
  • Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
