Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Draftsman - Mechanical for a reputed company in Qatar
.
- Prepare detailed mechanical fabrication and piping drawings as per project requirements.
- Develop GA (General Arrangement), shop fabrication, assembly, and isometric drawings.
- Prepare detailed drawings for:
- Steel Structures
- Piping Systems
- Storage Tanks
- Structural Fabrication
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and client standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, fabrication teams, and project departments for drawing revisions and updates.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and bill of materials when required.
- Modify and update drawings based on site conditions and client comments.
- Maintain drawing records and revision control systems.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in:
- Steel fabrication drafting
- Piping detailing
- Tank detailing
- Structural detailing
- Tekla
- STR
- Tank detailing software
- Piping drafting software
- AutoCAD (preferred)
- Experience in industrial fabrication projects, oil & gas, or heavy engineering industries.
- Good understanding of fabrication standards and piping layouts.
- Ability to work independently under project deadlines.
- Gulf experience will be an added advantage.
