Context :
Based in the Doha office within the Geoscience & Reservoir team, the position supports the management and continuous development of a mature offshore oil field. The field includes approximately 50 active wells and maintains an intensive well intervention and drilling program.
The VIE assignment is for 12 months, renewable for an additional 12 months by mutual agreement.
Mission :
Working closely with the field reservoir monitoring engineer — and progressively with increasing autonomy — you will be responsible for the following tasks :
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly production data reviews
- Water cut
- Decline trends
- Static pressure
- Back-allocation results
Production Performance & Forecasting
- Track well-by-well production potential
Production Optimization
- Contribute to identifying potential barrel-boosting opportunities, such as:
- Well control adjustments
- Pump setting optimization
- Zonal completion tuning
- Injection scheme improvements
Decision Support
- Prepare communication material to guide and influence decision-making
- Provide key input to enhance overall field understanding
Cross-functional Exposure
- Regular interaction with:
- Production team
- Well Performance team
- Drilling team
- Exposure to field operations and multidisciplinary workflows
- Further develop and refine existing Power BI reservoir monitoring dashboards
- Adapt tools to meet the specific needs of the field
- An up-to-date overview of reservoir performance
- Clear visibility of reservoir behaviour and its evolution over time
- Reliable support for both daily operations and periodic synthesis studies
Knowledge Transfer
- Lead the final handover of all dashboarding methods, tools, and knowledge
- Ensure that the engineering team is fully capable of maintaining and actively using the dashboards long-term
Technical skills
:
- Ideally 1st experience in Reservoir / Petroleum engineering
- Knowledge of Reservoir Engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of Well Performance fundamentals
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry fundamentals
- Power
BIadvanced dashboarding skills
Languages
:
- French : B2 level
