We are seeking a highly experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer – B2 (Avionics) with S92 endorsement (FAA or EASA) to support our VVIP/private helicopter operations in Doha.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of avionics maintenance, safety, and airworthiness for the S92 fleet in a private/VVIP environment.
Role Purpose
Provide avionics-focused line and/or base maintenance on S92 helicopters, ensuring full compliance with approved maintenance data, regulatory standards, and on-time release to service under Part 145/MOE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Certification
- Perform and certify avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and component replacements on S92 helicopters in accordance with AMM, IPC, and approved data.
- Diagnose and rectify complex electrical and avionics system defects effectively.
- Carry out pre-flight, post-flight, and daily checks to ensure aircraft readiness.
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) within B2 license privileges and company authorization.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Ensure strict adherence to QCAA/EASA/FAA regulations, Part 145, and company MOE requirements.
- Maintain high standards of FOD control, tool control, and human factors practices.
- Complete accurate and timely technical documentation (TLB entries, job cards, defect logs).
- Support audits, inspections, and implementation of corrective actions.
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with Production Planning for avionics spares, test equipment, and AOG requirements.
- Support VVIP/private operations, including high-level service expectations and confidentiality.
- Mentor technicians and contribute to on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
- Actively participate in Safety Management System (SMS) activities, including hazard reporting and investigations.
- Recommend technical improvements to enhance avionics reliability and operational safety.
Performance Indicators
- Improved dispatch reliability and reduced avionics-related delays
- Reduced AOG incidents and improved turnaround times
- High “right-first-time” troubleshooting and maintenance quality
- Accurate and compliant technical documentation
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid EASA Part 66 B2 License or FAA A&P (Avionics equivalent)
- Mandatory S92 type rating/endorsement (FAA or EASA)
- Eligible for or holding valid CRS authorization
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of avionics maintenance experience on helicopters within a Part 145 organization
- Strong troubleshooting experience on S92 avionics and electrical systems
- Experience in private/VVIP operations or similar high-standard environments is highly preferred
Technical & Behavioral Skills
- Strong knowledge of EASA, FAA, ICAO, and QCAA regulations
- Proficiency in AMOS or similar maintenance systems and digital technical manuals
- High attention to detail with a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work in shift, on-call, and operational environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Advantageous
- Additional S92 avionics specializations or multiple fleet endorsements
- Experience supporting VVIP/private category operations
- Exposure to SMS, audits, and safety investigations
