Sr Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and management for Process Platform Facilities of the BH Redevelopment Project in accordance with the Company Project Management Framework.
• Lead and coordinate project teams to deliver complete project engineering and management for the Process Platform Facilities.
• Prepare and implement Project Execution Plans.
• Participate in Project Planning, Cost Control, Budgeting, Contract Administration, Progress Reporting, Change Management, and Stage Gate approval activities.
• Manage and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team to achieve timely deliverable reviews and resolve technical and engineering issues.
• Prepare scope of work documents, tender packages, and the tendering process, and evaluate tenders and submissions with recommendations to relevant Tender Committees.
• Monitor performance and quality of works by EPIC contractors and vendors, initiating remedial actions to ensure compliance with agreed milestones.
• Contribute to risk management through identification, mitigation, implementation, and close‑out of project risks and issues.
• Facilitate management of project interfaces between EPIC contractors and other project stakeholders according to interface management plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE standards, regulations, and project quality standards in close coordination with QHSE engineers.
• Handle assessment of contractors’ time and cost‑related claims.
• Review and recommend settlement of final accounts and variations to contracts.
• Ensure timely project handover and completion, follow up on completion and handover certificates, punch‑list close‑out, approval of SPIRs and SAP‑CMMS leading to handover of the project to the asset holder.
• Facilitate timely project close‑out processes.
• Prepare progress reports for internal reporting and presentations.
• Mentor Qatari associates, ensuring they receive proper job training to realize their full potential.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from a recognised university; a higher degree is advantageous.
• Membership in a recognised professional engineering or project‑management association is an added advantage.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in engineering, project management, and execution of major EPIC projects in offshore oil & gas.
• Specific experience in execution of process/gas compression platforms involving jacket, topside, bridges, and appurtenances.
• Strong communication skills, including presentation, report writing, and management of meetings.
