Job Summary
The RBI Inspector (Risk-Based Inspection Inspector) will be responsible for carrying out inspection, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation activities related to Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs for static equipment, piping systems, and pressure-containing assets within industrial facilities. The role requires strong technical expertise in RBI methodologies, inspection planning, corrosion assessment, and integrity management within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC environments.
Roles and Responsibilities- Perform Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) assessment activities for static equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, and related assets
- Conduct inspection planning, risk analysis, corrosion evaluation, and integrity assessments as per project and client requirements
- Utilize Meridium RBI software for inspection data management, risk ranking, and integrity analysis activities
- Review inspection histories, damage mechanisms, corrosion rates, and operational parameters for risk evaluation
- Prepare RBI inspection plans, reports, and recommendations based on API standards and industry best practices
- Perform remaining life assessments and support fitness-for-service evaluations for equipment and piping systems
- Analyze inspection findings and recommend corrective actions, mitigation plans, and inspection intervals
- Ensure compliance with API standards, international codes, and client inspection requirements
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and inspection teams for RBI implementation and follow-up activities
- Support shutdown inspections, integrity assessments, and reliability improvement programs
- Review and validate inspection reports, drawings, and technical documentation
- Monitor asset integrity and identify potential risks related to corrosion, degradation, and operational failures
- Maintain accurate inspection records, technical documentation, and RBI databases
- Participate in audits, technical reviews, and integrity management meetings
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and project specifications throughout inspection activities
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience for Bachelor’s Degree holders
- Minimum 8 years of experience for Diploma holders
- Mandatory hands-on experience in RBI and Meridium software
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC industries preferred
- API 510 Certified/API 570 Certified/API 580 Certified/API 571 Certified
- Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, damage mechanisms, and asset integrity management
- Knowledge of international inspection standards, codes, and integrity assessment methodologies
- Candidate availability preferred:
