API Inspector; Long Term

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced API Inspector with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector. The candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, assessments, and risk-based evaluations of pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks, ensuring compliance with API standards and company policies. The ideal candidate must have long-standing API certifications, deep knowledge of advanced NDT techniques, and experience working in the Gulf region.

• Conduct inspections of pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and equipment per API standards.
• Develop and implement Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs.
• Perform or supervise advanced NDT inspections and evaluate results.
• Review inspection reports, datasheets, and drawings for compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior inspection staff.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to follow inspection schedules.
• Assist in failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Apply API 580 & 571 knowledge for risk assessment and reliability improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering (Diploma not accepted)
• Minimum 15 years experience in Oil & Gas sector with RBI exposure
• API 510, 570, 653 & NDT certifications (initial API certs at least 10 years old)
• API 580 & 571 certifications are advantageous
• Deep knowledge of advanced NDT methods
• Gulf experience preferred
• Immediate availability or maximum 1-month notice period
