Regional Line Maintenance Manager – Qatar Airways – Doha, Qatar
We are seeking a Regional Line Maintenance Manager in Doha, Qatar to lead international line maintenance operations and ensure full compliance with QCAA, EASA Part‑145, and global aviation regulatory standards. This senior aviation engineering role oversees technical dispatch reliability, contracted maintenance providers, and aircraft airworthiness across assigned regional stations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all aircraft maintenance activities meet Qatar Airways, QCAA, EASA Part‑145, and international regulatory standards
- Oversee technical dispatch reliability and maintain the highest safety and quality standards
- Manage contracted maintenance providers and monitor service‑level agreement compliance
- Provide operational guidance to Station Maintenance Managers and Duty Engineers
- Conduct station performance reviews and site visits when required
- Monitor and validate billing accuracy for man‑hours, materials, and equipment charges
- Ensure legislative and company airworthiness procedures are strictly followed
- Review incident and occurrence reports and enforce corrective action
- Ensure availability of tooling, ground support equipment, spares, facilities, and trained staff at line stations
- Manage self‑handling line stations to maintain operational continuity and technical compliance
- Diploma or Degree in Aircraft Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 9 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- ICAO Type II Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License required
- At least 5 years of management experience within international line maintenance for a major airline
- Strong knowledge of ICAO, QCAA, EASA, FAA regulations and air legislation
- Detailed understanding of IATA and IATP technical handling agreements and pool groups
- Strong negotiation and tactical decision‑making abilities
- Excellent planning and prioritization skills to minimize operational disruption
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
