Position: Procurement Engineer (CMEP)

Handle end-to-end procurement activities including preparation, issuance, and follow‑up of local purchase orders (LPOs).

Manage and administer contracts, subcontracts, and annual maintenance contracts (AMC).

Review and verify material requests (MRs) received from Operations (OPS) for accuracy, specifications, and scope alignment.

Provide technical evaluation and confirmation for materials related to CMEP civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.

Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and ensure commercial and technical compliance.

Support the tendering team by assisting in preparing quotations, verifying scope of work, and identifying suitable materials and vendors.

Ensure cost optimisation through negotiation and comparison of multiple suppliers.

Coordinate effectively with Operations, Finance, Stores, and Suppliers for smooth procurement and delivery processes.

Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely supply of materials as per project requirements.

Maintain proper documentation of LPOs, contracts, invoices, and approvals.

Track and manage budget utilisation against approved BOQs and contracts.

Handle vendor performance evaluation and maintain approved supplier lists.

Resolve procurement‑related issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.

Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and audit requirements.

Assist in material planning and forecasting in coordination with OPS and project teams.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in procurement within CMEP, facility management, or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of LPOs, contracts, and AMC management.
  • Proven ability in technical evaluation and material verification.
  • Experience supporting tendering and estimation processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in facility management projects.
  • Familiarity with BOQ analysis and cost control.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
