Construction Area Manager; Process

Review and approve construction execution and related procedures, specifications, deliverables, and progress reporting prepared by the contractor. Undertake complex tasks and act as a source of guidance to the team and stakeholders by providing solutions and support, avoiding micro‑management or unnecessary work.

• Identify problems quickly, determine root cause, and develop a plan to mitigate or resolve them.
• Utilize a systematic approach to problem solving that ensures accuracy, timeliness, and quality of documentation that supports the resolution.
• Bring technical and execution solutions that favor a safe and flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning activities.
• Organize and drive efforts of the team and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Work effectively within established procedures and participate in all important meetings and workshops (weekly and monthly meetings, 3D model reviews, constructability, traffic, and completion reviews).
• Guide construction efforts of workers during EPC construction activities at site works in a large fully integrated but complex project environment to achieve best‑in‑class safety, health, environmental and security performances.
• Ensure knowledge sharing by capturing and communicating lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering.
• 12 years of experience with large projects in construction‑related disciplines (construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook‑up) in the oil & gas industry, including 3 years of management‑level experience with overall responsibility for an EPC execution.
• Experience with oil and gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
• Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook‑up, as applicable to the project scope.
• Extensive knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
• Experience working in large‑scale operating organizations in operations and projects.
• Proven track record of project delivery in the industry and of managing contractors and sub‑contractors.
• Excellent track record in construction safety results.
• Proven experience with advanced work packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management and associated databases.
• Inventive approach to construction execution and methods, bringing experience from other large and complex projects, particularly LNG plants.
