Material Engineer
Perform material selection and specification in line with project requirements
Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASTM International, ASME, NACE International, and API, along with Qatar Energy specifications
Conduct corrosion assessments, failure analysis, and material degradation studies
Review and approve Material Requisition s (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and vendor documents
Coordinate directly with clients for approvals and technical clarifications
Support procurement, fabrication, and construction phases with technical inputs
Review coating systems, cathodic protection, and insulation specifications suitable for Qatar’s environmental conditions
Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, and integrity management program.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate material solutions into product designs, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Conduct failure analysis on materials to determine the root cause of issues and recommend improvements or alternatives.
