- Plan and carry out assigned aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Qatar Airways procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Operate tools, equipment, and systems safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks.
- Review maintenance procedures and standards, recommending improvements to enhance work effectiveness.
- Certify and release maintenance work completed by mechanics within approved authority.
- Ensure maintenance outputs meet company and customer standards, including dispatch reliability and acceptable deferred defect levels.
- Maintain aircraft and component serviceability to meet operational schedule requirements.
- Resolve technical issues within approved authority to ensure continued airworthiness.
- Provide on‑the‑job guidance, supervision, and training to technicians and aircraft mechanics.
- Ensure acceptable standards of workmanship, quality, and correct tool usage when supervising maintenance teams.
- Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, vocational aircraft maintenance qualification, or degree in aircraft engineering.
- High school or vocational qualification with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Valid ICAO or QCAA aircraft maintenance license with at least one full Qatar Airways main fleet approval.
- Ability to arrange required equipment and heavy vehicle driving license as per operational requirements.
- Strong technical competence in equipment operation, tool selection, and mathematical problem solving.
- Proven ability to control operations of equipment and systems safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrated managerial skills to delegate tasks, manage workflow, and develop team capabilities.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and teamwork skills within a live maintenance environment.
