Position Overview
Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I – Cabin Workshop – Qatar Airways Group – Doha, Qatar. This role supports flight operations by delivering certified aircraft maintenance activities while ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across cabin workshop functions. The position plays a key role in maintaining Qatar Airways’ high standards of product quality, dispatch reliability, and customer experience.

- Plan and execute assigned maintenance activities efficiently using approved tools, equipment, and Qatar Airways procedures.
- Review maintenance work procedures and propose improvements to enhance effectiveness and compliance.
- Certify and release completed work performed by mechanics, ensuring company standards and dispatch reliability targets are met.
- Ensure all cabin maintenance tasks comply with approved policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Provide technical solutions to maintenance issues within authorized limits and ensure component serviceability.
- Deliver on‑the‑job training and technical guidance to technicians and aircraft mechanics.
- Supervise workmanship quality, ensuring correct tools and methods are used at all times.
- Support internal and external customers by maintaining high delivery standards for Qatar Airways products.
- Participate in new aircraft definition and production selection activities with airline stakeholders.
- Contribute to product and work scope definition through ITCM, PDR, and CDR with suppliers and internal teams.
- Support development of Product Specification Documents and Quality Criteria Documents aligned with Qatar Airways requirements.
- Attend inspections of mock‑ups and demonstration units at supplier facilities and industry events.
- Verify product realization through first article inspections with relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in aircraft pre‑definition exercises, trade studies, conferences, and symposiums with OEMs and suppliers.
- Provide technical support to aircraft program teams in resolving quality and product issues.
- Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, vocational aircraft maintenance qualification, or Degree in Aircraft Engineering.
- Minimum of one full QAR main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and relevant approvals.
- Internal candidates must have at least one year of aircraft certifying experience as EN.00.
- Aircraft cabin maintenance and workshop operations.
- Drafting and lamination techniques.
- Regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Team supervision and on‑the‑job training.
