Job Overview

The Munitions Operations Technician performs all munitions accountability and inventory actions, including maintaining historical records in accordance with AFMAN 21-200, DAFMAN 21-201, 11A-1-10, and other applicable technical data. The role involves operating Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities
  • Observe and enforce all U.S. Air Force and host‑nation explosives safety, AFOSH, and security standards during all explosives and non‑explosive operations across assigned sites and temporary duty locations.
  • Use TICMS to the maximum extent possible, report system discrepancies promptly, and assist personnel in training and usage of TICMS.
  • Check daily TICMS connectivity and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct all munitions work according to established quality processes, identify potential problems, and recommend root‑cause solutions.
  • Complete all accountability and historical documentation actions in a timely manner.
  • Resolve serviceability and accountability issues identified during inspections, informing the Superintendent of all problems.
  • Advise the Munitions Superintendent/Munitions Operations Supervisor of any potential problems immediately.
  • Process and complete accountable/auditable transactions and documents promptly.
  • Conduct warehouse inventories and report discrepancies to the Superintendent.
  • Work with the ADR process to ensure proper actions are taken on all assets and reconcile the ADR file in TICMS.
  • Assist in developing the master inspection schedule and monitor shelf and service life to initiate disposition actions for affected assets.
  • Follow up on components required for munitions TCTO’s as required.
  • Scrutinize AWM and AWP actions affecting stockpile serviceability.
  • Track munitions shipments using the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergence (IGC) and monitor departure status.
  • Perform entry‑controller duties as required.
  • Work necessary hours, including stand‑by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in normal office, maintenance shop, or warehouse environments and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements
  • Intermediate knowledge of the U.S. Air Force Supply and Technical Order systems or an equivalent U.S. service system.
  • Proficiency with personal computers, Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment if required.
  • Valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with military munitions.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in munitions operations or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance. (U.S. citizenship required.)
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Normal color perception and depth of vision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior U.S. Air Force MASO experience.
  • Prior U.S. Air Force MAJCOM staff experience.
  • CCAF degree in Munitions Management.
