Job Description
Plan, coordinate, and control the Hook-up phase of the project in accordance with client and contractual requirements, within time and cost constraints, and in compliance with HSE and quality procedures.
MissionExpress Hook-up needs during the E&P phases (Make or Buy, Constructability, Material Management), identifying the optimum balance among time, cost, and feasibility. Ensure offshore construction activities are completed and effectively handed over to the commissioning team and company final acceptance.
Tasks- Ensure HSE and quality procedures for Hook-up activities are correctly implemented.
- Make sure engineering disciplines take Hook-up requirements into account while developing detailed engineering deliverables, granting Hook-up material tagging and codification into material takeoff.
- Define the Hook-up Project Execution Plan, interfacing with Fabrication, TI, and commissioning in line with project requirements.
- Support the project management team in defining the Hook-up budget, schedule, staffing plan, and cost-control report.
- Define resources mobilization plan and ensure its implementation in cooperation with the HR department.
- Ensure subcontract specifications and technical bid evaluation are developed in a timely manner and in compliance with the Hook-up execution strategy.
- Prepare the Hook-up document list, procedures, and specifications.
- Participate or delegate participation to the Hook-up team for engineering reviews (HAZID, Constructability, 3-D model reviews, etc.).
- Perform Hook-up planning and control detailed activities through the Hook-up Planning and Control system.
- Analyze Hook-up requirements relevant to welding, painting & coating and quality-control activities; address any special requirement in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop, in cooperation with fabrication, a carry-over analysis aimed at minimizing project disruptions due to non-completed activities in the fabrication yard.
- Define and enforce material management procedures in cooperation with the Yard Project Manager.
- Coordinate the Hook-up offshore team to ensure a smooth offshore campaign completion.
- Represent Saipem toward clients, partners, and subcontractors, managing contractual aspects relevant to the Hook-up phase.
- Implement risk and knowledge-management methodologies and Saipem Golden and Silver Rules.
- Contribute to the preparation of project lessons learned, monitoring Hook-up performance, capitalizing experiences, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Support project management in identifying and assessing any potential contract variation.
- Ensure the Hook-up team liaises with Project Control to provide progress data and review overall outcomes.
- Education:
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. - Experience:
10 years as a Hook-up Manager within the oil and gas industry. - Languages:
