Position Overview:

Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I Structure at Qatar Airways Group in Doha, Qatar is responsible for delivering aircraft structural maintenance activities that directly support flight operations. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of structural maintenance tasks while maintaining high dispatch reliability and meeting operational schedules across Qatar Airways technical operations.

• Plan and execute assigned aircraft structural maintenance activities efficiently in line with Qatar Airways procedures
• Operate equipment and use appropriate tooling to complete structural maintenance tasks safely and effectively
• Review work procedures and standards and propose improvements to enhance maintenance effectiveness
• Provide final release of work completed by mechanics, ensuring compliance with company and customer standards
• Maintain dispatch reliability and acceptable levels of deferred structural defects
• Ensure aircraft maintenance tasks meet approved policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Implement technical solutions within authorized scope to maintain aircraft and component structural serviceability
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to technicians and aircraft mechanics
• Supervise workmanship quality and ensure correct tools, materials, and processes are used
• Support internal and external customers through timely and high-quality maintenance delivery

• High school, vocational qualification, or diploma with a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience
• Diploma or degree in aircraft maintenance or aircraft engineering
• Holds at least one full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO or QCAA license and approvals
• Strong technical knowledge of aircraft structural maintenance and repair practices
• Ability to determine appropriate tools and equipment for structural maintenance tasks
• Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills for technical assessment and repair decisions
• Experience controlling maintenance operations and equipment systems
• Strong managerial and leadership skills with the ability to delegate, mentor, and manage workflow
