BIM Technician II - AECOM

Position Overview

AECOM is hiring a BIM Technician II to support water and infrastructure projects across Qatar. This role focuses on developing accurate BIM models, coordinating multidisciplinary designs, and supporting the delivery of high‑quality project documentation.

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models using Autodesk Revit and relevant BIM tools.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure model accuracy.
• Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues.
• Generate 2D drawings and documentation from BIM models.
• Support the development and implementation of BIM standards and workflows.
• Provide technical assistance to junior BIM team members.
• Prepare BIM deliverables according to project requirements.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar building codes and project specifications.
• Optimize BIM workflows to improve efficiency.
• Assist in quality checks to maintain high BIM standards.
• Stay up to date with the latest BIM technology and trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of BIM experience in infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong skills in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience with 3D modeling and visualization.
• Knowledge of construction methods and building systems.
• Familiarity with Qatar building codes and regional standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• BIM certification preferred.
• Understanding of MEP coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
