Job Title:
INSTALLATION SUPERVISOR
Location:

Qualification: Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma in Mechanical (or) Petroleum Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
Experience: Minimum 12 years overall experience supervising offshore installation of EPIC projects such as Oil and Gas Production/wellhead platforms, Jacket structures including construction work and material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, load‑out activities. Computer literate. Strong communication and writing skills. Robust experience in FEED and EPIC projects with strong capability to review/approve contractor deliverables.

Excellent command of English (oral and written). Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness. Ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings. Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and suggest solutions. Ability to supervise a multi‑national and multi‑cultural contractor workforce.
- Responsible to manage offshore installations, heave lifts and non‑routine installations such as topsides, jackets and critical subsea installations (pipeline, umbilical, skids and tie‑in spools, risers and J‑tubes). Accountable for ensuring that department‑assigned field projects are installed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and company standards & specifications.
- Oversee and provide guidance/advice to bidders/contractors on all offshore heavy lifts and subsea installations to ensure compliance with approved method statements, project schedule, quality and material requirements.
- Manage and guide the contractor during tendering/bidding, engineering, review, comment and approval of contractor deliverables.
- Attend engineering workshops such as constructability review, SIMOPS, schedule risk analysis, 3D model reviews, HAZOP, HAZDEM, lifting plan reviews and provide input to ensure contractors conduct these workshops in compliance with company requirements.
- Participate in all engineering workshops during EPIC projects and all offshore campaigns related to pipelines, umbilicals and subsea installation.
- Ensure contractors execute offshore installations in accordance with company standards, specifications and approved drawings.
- Monitor, control and report contractor’s performance, manpower deployment, plant and equipment movements, construction slippages, etc.
- Act as the construction risk‑management representative to identify construction risk events, assess effects and consequences, propose mitigation measures and ensure implementation at site.
- Liaise with senior discipline engineers throughout all phases of the project for all construction‑related matters, including input during detailed engineering and procurement stages.
- Review contractors’ installation plans, schedules, method statements and procedures, including offshore logistics.
- Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments; report work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and control work permits to ensure contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits.
- Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of contractors, subcontractors and vendors to offshore sites following contract award.
- Interact and interface with other contractors, projects and departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction‑related matters, especially liaison with Production and Maintenance departments.
- Support development of new standards, specifications, guidelines, etc. and support enhancement of existing corporate documents.
