Under the authority of the Client HSE-SA/Representative, ensures the export vessel safely transits through the Al Shaheen Field and the mooring/unmooring is executed in a safe and consistent manner as per relevant international and Client standards and in compliance with Al Shaheen Port Regulations and/or any other Client procedures.
General Tasks- Demonstrates an incident-free mindset & shall comply with Company's list of 10 important rules
- Performs any tasks within the gambit of the contract as delegated by the Company's HSE-SA and / or Company's representative.
- Is responsible for maintaining up to date JSA’s and risk assessments.
- When requested, performs inspections of terminal assets as per Terminal procedures.
- Responsible for common marine team’s activities and performance’s including their adherence towards Company's HSE policies.
- Is responsible for FSO support boats introduction to the field including all export related procedures and processes
- Familiarizes and complies with all Company's rules and regulations as stated in the Company's CMS.
- Familiarises and complies with all Terminal related processes and procedures
- Familiarises and complies with all applicable national and international statutory laws.
- Familiarises and complies with all applicable maritime legislation as per IMO.
- Familiarises and complies with all applicable OPITO & IMCA standards.
In charge of the Common Marine Team (CMT) on each FSO which is composed of 2 Mooring Masters, 1 Mooring Master Assistant, 1 Lead Swimmer, 1 Mechanical Technician, 1 Swimmer, 2 terminal VTS operators, 1 Rigging Supervisor, 1 Rope Access Supervisor, 1 Rope Access Technician and 1 Coxswain.

The list of the above enumerated tasks and responsibilities is a summary and indicative.
- Assists HSE-SA/Representative in performing audit of the AHTs chartered by Company to work for the FSO activities.
- Ensures that all Company Procedures and Policies are adhered to.
- Ensures that all relevant Legislation and Regulations are adhered to.
- Ensures that all Client Standard Operating Procedures and Regulations are adhered to.
- Completes all works to the Client's satisfaction.
During any emergency when requested by the Company and or the Company's representative/HSE-SA, performs any tasks as may be required of them. Such emergencies may include but not be limited to fire, explosion, oil spill’s etc.
Agrees to comply with the QHSE instructions in order to- Preserve their health and safety and those of other persons affected by his acts or omissions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QHSE management system.
- Ensures the implementation of preventive and corrective QHSE actions.
- Contributes to the elaboration of the HSE plan and ensures its execution.
- Participates to QHSE audits (internal & external).
Working Hours:
12h, 7 days per week
Rotation: 4 weeks on/ 4 weeks off
Certificates- IMO STCW 95 deck officer class 1 certificate, unlimited
- Bridge Team Resource Management
- Duties to fulfil on tankers (gas or oil as appropriate; STCW V/1 §2)
- Pilotage certificate or license issued by the National Competent Authority of the country or area
- Record of Pilotage Training Simulator training
- Testing gas in enclosed spaces
- BST/HUET or BOSIET
Technical certificates or relevant nautical studies
Experience- Minimum of 30 months on-board service as senior deck officer (Chief Officer or above) on board a seagoing AFRA MAX tankers or larger, or on-board seagoing gas tanker or larger, as appropriate. Familiar with tanker operations (gas, oil, chemical or product as appropriate)
- Minimum of 36 months of mooring master experience including tandem mooring vessel above 150,000 DWT
- Familiar with the area of operations, its navigational hazards and/or obstructions and its environmental conditions
- Familiar with the operation of terminal tugs
- Attended a minimum of six berthing/un-berthing operations and then performed a minimum of three berthing, un-berthing operations under supervision of an experienced terminal pilot
Experience in SPM and Hoses Maintenance is a plus
