Position Overview
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Non Destructive Test Inspector Level II in Doha, Qatar to join the Technical Workshops team. This aviation engineering role focuses on performing and certifying advanced NDT inspections on aircraft and components while leading shift operations, ensuring compliance with EN4179 standards, and supporting fleet expansion capability within a high performance aircraft maintenance environment.

- Exercise authorization privileges for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft NDT inspections
- Perform and certify NDT inspections in accordance with latest approved maintenance manuals and regulatory data
- Manage and supervise a shift of NDT Engineers to ensure optimal resource utilization and timely task completion
- Maintain strict compliance with EN4179 and company regulatory standards
- Control and manage NDT tooling and workshop equipment in line with company procedures
- Support development and revision of NDT procedures to meet updated aviation regulations
- Lead implementation of new NDT capabilities for newly inducted aircraft fleets
- Prepare business cases and coordinate procurement for new NDT equipment
- Maintain validity of at least five NDT Level II method authorizations and ensure timely renewals
- Ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, productivity, and quality within the NDT Workshop
- Support planning functions to achieve On Time Delivery targets in coordination with maintenance planning teams
- Conduct technical training sessions and toolbox talks to keep team aligned with latest inspection technologies
- High School, Vocational Qualification, Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, or equivalent Degree
- Minimum 5 years relevant aviation maintenance experience
- Proven experience in light, heavy, or workshop maintenance environments
- Holder of EN4179 or PCN Aerospace Level II qualification in minimum five inspection methods
- Valid company authorization for NDT inspection methods
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structural inspection and defect detection standards
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams
- Excellent understanding of aviation safety, compliance, and quality systems
