Telecommunication Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems for offshore and onshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Perform configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of telecom equipment and systems.
• Handle systems such as PAGA, PABX, IP‑PABX, VSAT, CCTV, GMDSS, VHF, UHF radio, LAN, WLAN.
• Support the Lead Engineer and Project Manager in daily project execution and reporting.
• Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) and ensure timely completion of commissioning activities as per project schedule.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Provide on‑site technical support during installation and post‑commissioning phases.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in telecom commissioning within Oil & Gas, Offshore, or Marine projects.
• Strong hands‑on experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of telecom systems.
• Expertise in at least two of the following systems: VSAT, PAGA, GMDSS, CCTV, or Radio.
• Experience in offshore platforms, shipyards, or EPC projects preferred.
• Familiarity with FAT/SAT procedures and commissioning protocols.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
