Planning Officer - AMP Engineering Airways

Position Overview

Qatar Airways is seeking a Planning Officer to join the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) Engineering team. The role involves maintaining and updating the Aircraft Maintenance Program, assisting with engineering documentation, and ensuring compliance with QCAA regulations and internal technical standards.

• Assist in the preparation and revision of the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), including compiling documentation and submitting for QCAA approval.
• Maintain electronic and hard copy versions of AMP documents.
• Conduct data crosschecks to ensure accurate setup of AMP in the IT system under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Support AMP optimization projects to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Assist in setting up Engineering Documents and Base Deferred Defects in the TRAX system.
• Train Qatari engineering staff in AMP‑related tasks and procedures.
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to maintenance planning.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager Aircraft Maintenance Program.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or engineering planning.
• Strong understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Programs (AMP).
• Familiarity with QCAA regulatory framework and compliance processes.
• Working knowledge of TRAX maintenance software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a structured, compliance‑driven environment.

• Technical document preparation and maintenance planning.
• Proficiency in TRAX or similar MRO systems.
• Analytical thinking and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of aviation maintenance procedures and documentation.
