Position Overview

Qatar Airways Group is hiring a Technical Officer - Electrical in Doha, Qatar to support the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operation of airport electrical infrastructure. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, contractor supervision, asset performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure uninterrupted airport operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Supervise and monitor electrical operations and maintenance activities performed by contractors in line with ORACLE schedules.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and inspections of electrical assets using the facilities asset management system and prepare technical reports.
• Lead and supervise in‑house and contractor electrical teams performing preventive maintenance, audits, and improvement works.
• Raise ORACLE requisitions for electrical spares and services within approved budgets.
• Support development of technical scopes and specifications for in‑house electrical projects in coordination with engineers and line management.
• Inspect completed works by external vendors to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and review electrical work methods with contractors and Permit to Work teams to ensure safe execution.
• Monitor spare part usage and ensure availability to maintain uninterrupted electrical services.
• Maintain updated technical records of electrical assets and monitor asset performance regularly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of the Department.

• High School or Vocational Qualification or Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of job‑related experience.
• Previous experience in airports, large commercial facilities, or five‑star hotels.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical operations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Experience leading and supervising multicultural technical teams.
• Ability to work shifts and weekends as operationally required.
