Aviation Safety and Process Improvement Specialist in Doha, Qatar is a strategic role within Qatar Airways Compliance and Safety Technical team, focused on driving continuous improvement across MRO Part 145 and CAMO environments. This position strengthens Safety Management System effectiveness through structured methodologies, risk reduction, and operational performance enhancement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives targeting Safety Management System processes within MRO and CAMO operations
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies including DMAIC, FMEA, 5S, and SMED to optimize safety workflows
- Conduct value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective improvements
- Collaborate with safety and compliance stakeholders to align process enhancements with regulatory standards
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and improvement events to strengthen safety performance culture
- Monitor safety KPIs and performance dashboards to evaluate effectiveness of implemented improvements
- Develop and standardize workflow documentation for safety-related activities
- Integrate continuous improvement principles into audits, investigations, risk management, and corrective action planning
- Coordinate procedural reviews across departments to ensure effective control mechanisms
- Support emergency response and operational disruption management in line with company protocols
- Tertiary qualification with minimum 4 years of experience in aviation, MRO, CAMO, or technical operations
- Lean Six Sigma certification at Green Belt or Black Belt level
- Proven experience leading process improvement and project management initiatives
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and project tracking tools
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory compliance frameworks
- Project Management certification such as PMP or Prince2 is preferred
- Understanding of safety and compliance systems within aviation environments
- Familiarity with technical databases such as Trax or MS Access is desirable
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
