Commissioning Engineer

Job reference:

• Undertake testing and commissioning activities in line with the specified site requirements.
• Assist the Commissioning Lead Engineer in planning development, scheduling, progress tracking and reporting.
• Monitor and record all test results, witness final testing and acceptance of equipment, and compile documentation for inclusion in respective dossiers.
• Ensure safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve necessary plant performance in accordance with project program requirements.
• Coordinate and lead a multi‑discipline commissioning team on site and in the field.
• Interact with Engineering, Construction and Client Operations teams.
• Manage completion of walk‑downs and Punch Lists of offered systems/sub‑systems.
• Update and forward Punch Lists and other commissioning‑related data and inputs per system to the CMS Admin/Coordinator.
• Ensure technicians work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures and PTW system.
• Coordinate and execute various testing such as functional, performance and acceptance tests as required during pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up stages.
• Ensure all documentation and resources are available for the scope of pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
• Coordinate certification authority witnessing on site.
• Provide operations with technical support throughout start‑up, stabilization and performance testing.
• Supervise the commissioning team to meet scheduled deadlines and maintain technical integrity of the work.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned or requested.
• Be a motivated self‑starter with complex problem‑solving ability.

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pre‑commissioning, commissioning and project completion of medium to large‑scale projects.
• Prior experience with any Completion Management System (CMS) such as WinPCS is desirable.
• Formal certification in project commissioning is desirable.
• Proficiency in day‑to‑day computer usage and regular office applications, drafting, engineering, project management software, etc.
