Principal Pipeline Engineer – Onshore

We are working with a client to source a Principal Pipeline Engineer – Onshore, a contract role working on a residential basis.

Title: Principal Pipeline Engineer – Onshore

Location: Qatar Onshore / Office

Schedule:

9 hours per day / 5 days a week or as per project requirement

• Lead onshore pipeline engineering design activities from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Act as technical authority for pipeline design, stress analysis, and pipeline integrity for onshore projects.
• Perform and review pipeline stress analysis using CAESAR II in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
• Carry out and verify onshore pipeline design calculations including wall thickness, buoyancy, and upheaval buckling.
• Develop, review, and approve pipeline engineering deliverables such as routing layouts, alignment sheets, and stress reports.
• Utilize Excel and MathCAD for pipeline design calculations and verification.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, API, DNV, ISO).
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to pipeline engineering team members.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support design reviews, HAZOP, and constructability assessments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering from an accredited university.

• Minimum 17+ years of experience in pipeline design engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience on onshore pipeline projects.
• Proven experience delivering oil and gas onshore pipeline projects.
