Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities- Lead the Rotating Equipment Engineering activities in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards. Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow.
- Contribute to the capitalization of Project experience to improve and harmonize work methodologies through continuous improvement and best practices.
- Implement the Company guidelines and KPI monitoring within the Project.
- Execute the activities in the area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
- A – Development Technology Know‑how and Commercial Support – Provide technical support.
- B – Feasibility – Provide technical support.
- C – Bidding Phase / Commercial Proposal Development
- Review technical tender documentation.
- Prepare rotating equipment technical documentation for inquiry.
- Review and evaluate machinery bids received by Vendors.
- Prepare material take‑off to support construction cost estimate.
- Support Lead in defining cost evaluation for machinery and other equipment related to the Machinery department.
- Support Lead to define machinery department engineering man‑hours estimate.
- D – Project Execution (Job Progress and Completion)
- Support Project Machinery Lead to review contractual technical documentation and requirements.
- Support Machinery Lead in defining engineering requirements and interface with other disciplines; optimize engineering standards while ensuring minimal cost and compliance with required performance.
- Prepare technical documentation for requisitions (e.g., technical supply specifications, mechanical data sheets).
- Support Machinery Lead in technical negotiation with vendors; review and supervise subcontracted discipline engineering documents.
- Prepare technical tabulation and evaluation for any type of rotating equipment submitted by Vendors.
- After order award, follow‑up engineering activities and interface assigned machinery equipment/package included in purchase orders.
- Review, markup comments and finalize all vendor drawings, interfacing with other process or technical disciplines.
- Attend internal review activities and participate in inter‑discipline review meetings.
- Assist technical disciplines to perform engineering activities (e.g., utilities and electrical load list, layouts, 3D, routings).
- Provide support for expediting and testing activities.
- Provide support for document management and certified final documentation.
- Support Discipline Lead in the activity with Project functions including Procurement and Construction.
- Support Discipline Lead to define Machinery Equipment construction inspection plan and prepare equipment weights and dimensions to assist Construction activities.
- E – Construction and Start‑up – (details omitted).
- Engineering background.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- English is a must.
- Professional knowledge of MS Office.
- Permanent Contract – Project‑based position.
