Overview

Job Title:

Instrument / Fire & Gas (F&G) Engineering Specialist

Provide technical support and advisory for Instrumentation and Fire & Gas (F&G) systems during EPC and startup phases, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations prior to asset handover.

• Support design reviews (SIL, HAZOP), commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of Instrument and F&G systems.
• Develop and implement surveillance programs for critical systems to ensure reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
• Review and improve system performance, recommending best practices and enhancements.
• Plan and execute engineering activities in line with project KPIs.
• Provide technical support across disciplines and supervise contractors and vendors.
• Support project tie-ins and ensure smooth system integration.
• Maintain issue registers and mitigate risks affecting project performance.
• Assist in high-risk commissioning, system tuning, and optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas or similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs, ESD/F&G systems, metering, anti-surge control, and turbo machinery control systems.
• Understanding of SIL requirements and safety systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, SAP, and instrumentation software.
