Lead Mechanical Engineer (Packages) – 15+ years’ of experienceJOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Discipline Team Leader/Manager and Project Manager, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned mechanical engineering work as per project scope.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15+ years in oil and gas with a major contractor or consulting firm.
- Conduct conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering and design in accordance with design basis, project specifications, client requirements, procedures, design codes and standards.
- Familiar with relevant design and analysis software.
- Prepare mechanical data sheets, equipment specifications, material requisitions for inquiry and purchase, TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation) and tabulation, and VDR (Vendor Document Review).
- Design packages in compliance with international standards such as API 610, API 675, API 618, ISO 5199 and ASME Section VIII.
- Knowledge of packages including vapour recovery units, DM plants, N2 generation, truck loading arms, air compressor packages, flare packages, wastewater treatment packages, clarifiers, and dosing skids.
- Attend progress reviews, design reviews and clarification meetings with the client.
- Preferred past experience with Qatar Energy, Shell DEP and tank terminal projects.
- MMUP certification is an added advantage.
