Overview / Job PurposeThe Technical Expert – Environmental & Industrial Laboratory Business will support laboratory solutions and technical operations across environmental, oil & gas, food, chemical, and industrial laboratories. The role is responsible for providing technical expertise, supporting laboratory customers, and ensuring successful implementation of laboratory instruments, testing systems, and analytical solutions. The candidate will work closely with business, sales, service, and supplier teams to deliver reliable and high-quality laboratory solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for environmental, oil & gas, food, chemical, and industrial laboratory solutions.
- Support customers with laboratory instrumentation, testing systems, and analytical applications.
- Assist the sales team with technical discussions, product presentations, and solution demonstrations.
- Coordinate installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely corrective solutions.
- Conduct technical training for customers and internal teams.
- Prepare technical proposals, compliance documents, and laboratory reports.
- Ensure laboratory solutions meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with international suppliers and service teams for technical support activities.
- Stay updated on laboratory technologies, environmental standards, and industry developments.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental, oil & gas, food, chemical, or industrial laboratory business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Experience working with laboratory analytical instruments and testing equipment.
- Good understanding of environmental testing, chemical analysis, food safety testing, or petroleum laboratory operations.
- Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, sample preparation, or laboratory automation systems is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer management skills.
- Knowledge of ISO laboratory standards, safety regulations, and quality compliance requirements is preferred.
