Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine

Responsibilities

• Handling mechanical inspection including CI, HGPI and MI for heavy‑duty gas turbine and its auxiliaries.
• Planning and preparing schedule with the customer for all planned maintenance activity; troubleshooting and addressing technical queries in collaboration with the technical support team.
• Leading discussions with customers for the plan and implementation of mechanical‑related NICs/TILs and following up until completion.
• Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modifications for the covered units and preparing effective field service reports.
• Supporting end users, operation and maintenance staff with diagnostic counselling and addressing maintenance/operational issues on covered units.
• Performing geometric dimensional checks of foundation, equipment and auxiliary skids, positioning, leveling, and alignment of sub‑sole plates and package supports.
• Handling new unit erection/installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning of gas turbines and auxiliaries including lube oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, filter house, and water wash systems.
• Advising on the interpretation of drawings for installation optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• More than 7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, Refinery or Turbo machinery industries.
• Ability to perform major inspections and overhauls on HDGT – FR 5/2, FR 6B, FR 7E and/or FR 9E.
• Ability to perform laser alignments and borescope inspections on all machines.
