Responsibilities
Operation and maintenance of SCADA system at national distribution control centers. Configure, update and manage SCADA databases, displays, alarms and trends. Perform integration and commissioning. End‑to‑end test new substations into SCADA system. Ensure SCADA system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA incidents. Participate in system upgrades, patching and disaster recovery testing.
General Requirements- Strong knowledge of power system operations (generation, transmission, distribution) and integration of substations with SCADA.
- Familiarity with SCADA concepts, databases and protocols (ICCP, IEC).
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written);
Arabic is an advantage. - Awareness of OT/ICS cybersecurity practices for electrical infrastructure with solid understanding of international standards (ISA, IEC
62443, ISO
27001, etc.) and local regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer or electronic engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in SCADA system for electrical utilities.
- Hand‑on experience with GE SCADA system including Historian, Database, communication protocols.
