Senior Shops Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead the fabrication team and provide necessary support to operation and maintenance teams for safe and reliable plant operation.
• Perform PRV/Valve overhauling and testing, pressure testing, hose inspection and manage the shop.
• Support emergency planned SDs and TA related to valve shops in workshop activities.
• Develop, review and revise procedures related to valve shop activities.
• Participate in internal/external and field audits and complete audit action items before due dates.
• Support achieving department metrics.
• Make adjustments with minimal supervision, troubleshoot equipment problems, recommend solutions, resolve root causes, and record/report findings.
• Provide necessary support to the workshop supervisor for smooth functioning of the tool crib and machine shop.
• Issue permits in and around the workshop area under workshop ownership.
• Maintain good housekeeping and order in the workshop.

• Diploma in Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in the petrochemical industry.
• Experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Required:
  
  English – working knowledge.
• Preferred:
  Arabic – working knowledge.

• Salary: Monthly Rate in QAR (All inclusive)
• Work Schedule: 8 Hours / 5 Days
