Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE management systems tailored to project-specific needs ensuring alignment with local regulations and international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly to mitigate risks effectively.
- Lead safety training sessions and workshops for all project personnel fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance across the workforce.
- Must have expert working knowledge in oil and gas construction including process areas.
- Oversee subcontractor HSE prequalification selection, onboarding requirements, performance monitoring and audits.
- Advise GCC Subcontractor staff and management on ways to fulfill the HSE requirements in the Contract HSE Procedures.
- Monitor and report Project HSE performance including leading proactive and lagging indicators.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution enhancing overall project performance.
- Academic qualification – Graduation or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in HSE principles.
- Professional Qualification – NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or NVQ Level 6.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in HSE management of which at least ten (10) years within the construction or oil and gas industries, showcasing a proven track record of success in Senior HSE management role in Middle East construction with process area/brown field work experience.
