Position: SR. CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR (DECOMMISSIONING)
Primary Purpose of the Job
Responsible, accountable for the day-to-day functions of deconstruction, demolition and execution of department assigned Projects at offshore locations to ensure they are constructed/decommissioned in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and Qatar Energy standards & specifications.
Provide guidance to construction supervisor and Contractor to ensure that all deconstruction & decommissioning activities are executed in accordance with approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and HSE requirements.
Required Experience and Skills
Candidate should have a minimum of 10 to 12 years overall experience in supervising, offshore deconstruction, demolition, decommissioning with strong offshore demolition experience of oil and gas production / wellhead platform topside, Jacket structures and subsea infrastructure (pipelines, umbilical, flatpack, composite cables etc) including sea fastening inspection, lifting plan review and approval of construction/demolition method statements, load-out activities.Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills.Excellent command of English Language (oral and written)Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness.Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings.Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.Educational Qualifications
B.Sc. in Engineering Or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University or Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) level in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
