We are seeking a highly experienced and self-reliant Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1/B2) to support our VVIP rotary‑wing operations. This is a demanding, autonomous role suited to an engineer who thrives on flexibility, prolonged travel, and extended detachments to remote locations, where the successful candidate will be the sole engineering authority on‑site, ensuring the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of the aircraft through expert maintenance, regulatory compliance, and sound independent decision‑making.

Provide line and/or base maintenance on company‑operated VVIP helicopters, including during prolonged detachments to remote locations, in accordance with approved data, ensuring regulatory compliance, safe operations, and on‑time release to service under Part‑145/MOE requirements. The role requires the engineer to operate with minimal or no on‑site engineering support, exercising independent judgement and certification authority for all maintenance and airworthiness decisions affecting the aircraft.

• Perform and certify scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and component changes in line with AMM, CMM, IPC, and other approved data.
• Conduct accurate defect diagnosis and effective rectification for airframe, engine, avionics, and electrical systems.
• Carry out pre/post‑flight, daily checks to ensure aircraft availability.
• Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) within the scope of B1 or B2 licenses, type ratings, and company authorization.
• Operate independently during remote VVIP detachments, making all engineering and airworthiness decisions for the aircraft on‑site in the absence of direct supervisory or on‑site engineering support.
• Work on other fleet types as required, performing technician‑level tasks outside own type rating(s), and assist other trades during maintenance tasks as needed.

• Ensure strict compliance with QCAA Part‑145, Part CAMO, ICAO, and company MOE requirements.
• Maintain rigorous FOD prevention, tool control, calibration integrity, and human‑factors best practices.
• Complete accurate technical records: TLB entries, job cards, defect logs, and work sheets.
• Support audits, inspections, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Liaise remotely with the Production Planning Department for spares, rotables, GSE, calibrated test equipment, and AOG support during remote deployments.
• Provide supervisory oversight on‑site, ensuring all maintenance activity is carried out safely, to the required quality standard, and in compliance with company procedures.
• Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS): hazard identification, reporting, investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and recommend technical improvements to enhance reliability and safety.

• Improved dispatch reliability and reduced maintenance‑related delays.
• Minimized AOG occurrences and improved turnaround time (TAT).
• Accurate, timely technical documentation aligned with quality and safety KPIs.

• Eligible for or holding valid CRS authorization.
• Must successfully pass advanced security vetting/checks as required for VVIP operations.
• Must successfully pass the company’s required medical examinations.

• Valid type rating on at least one of the following: AW189, AW139, or S92.

• Minimum 10 years’ helicopter maintenance experience within a Part‑145 maintenance organization, including a minimum of 5 years certifying on type (AW189, AW139, or S92).
• Proven supervisory experience, with demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and support technicians and junior engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to work alone without on‑site support, making all engineering decisions for the aircraft on‑site, including during prolonged remote detachments.
• Strong troubleshooting background on mechanical/engine systems (B1) or avionics/electrical systems (B2).
