Snr Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose

Provide electrical engineering expertise to support projects, operations, and maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution aligned with business objectives.

• Provide electrical engineering support across projects, operations, and maintenance activities.
• Review electrical designs, drawings, and documentation including Single Line Diagrams, schematics, and LV/MV systems.
• Support project teams by reviewing scope changes, identifying risks, and ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
• Participate in FAT/SAT activities and support commissioning and start-up activities.
• Apply electrical engineering principles in system analysis including power calculations, load analysis, and power factor correction.
• Support power generation and distribution systems, including generator operations and load management.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC) and best practices.
• Identify and address electrical risks, including hazardous area classification, arc flash, and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical input to project and operational stakeholders.

• Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in oil & gas or related industry
• Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (LV/MV/HV) and components (transformers, switch gear, UPS, motors, generators)
  • Understanding of protection systems (overcurrent, earth fault, under voltage)
  • Familiarity with power system concepts (load shedding, generator control, reactive power)
  • Knowledge of IEC standards and hazardous area classifications
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
