Job Description Civil 3D BIM Modeler Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil 3D BIM Modeler to join our team in Qatar. In this role, you will utilize your advanced Civil 3D and BIM skills to develop detailed 3D models and support production automation for stormwater drainage and wet utility systems. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to deliver accurate, coordinated, and constructible models and drawings in line with project and client standards.

What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Create detailed and coordinated 3D models for wet utility systems, including water mains and distribution networks, foul sewer networks, stormwater drainage and retention systems, associated structures manholes, chambers, catch basins, valve boxes, culverts, etc.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Civil 3D models and drawings in alignment with project specifications and standards.
  • Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, BIM coordinators, and other discipline modelers to ensure design intent is correctly represented in the model, support multidisciplinary design integration and spatial coordination, participate in coordination and review meetings, providing model-based inputs.
  • Conduct quality checks and revisions to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop alignments, profiles, and corridors and be familiar with creating and consuming Data shortcut.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 7 years’ experience in Autodesk Civil 3D BIM modelling for civil works, with a strong focus on wet utilities and stormwater drainage.
  • Proven experience as a Civil 3D Modeler or in a similar role on infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and stormwater networks, urban infrastructure or large-scale developments.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software and other relevant modelling tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, survey data, and design reports.
  • Strong attention to detail, modeling accuracy, and adherence to standards.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and meet project deadlines.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
  • Experience with other civil engineering and BIM software such as AutoCAD (advanced drafting and detailing), Navisworks Manage (for model review and clash detection), other BIM or visualization tools will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and regulations related to wet utilities and infrastructure, particularly within Qatar or the GCC region.
  • Experience in BIM workflows, including working under a BIM Execution Plan, understanding Levels of Detail/Development (LOD), supporting clash detection and issue resolution in coordination meetings.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
