Proposal Engineering Trainee

Overview

A crucial role in shaping how we communicate the value of Siemens solutions to our customers. As a member of the Proposal Tendering team, you will develop competitive technical and commercial proposals for projects and solutions.

• Assist in reviewing Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents.
• Support basic engineering calculations, layouts, and technical solution development under guidance.
• Prepare technical documentation, including datasheets, compliance matrices and method statements.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and price breakdowns.
• Work with engineering, procurement and project teams to collect technical inputs and ensure alignment with customer requirements.

• Close mentorship from a Siemens expert with extensive industry background, including one‑on‑one guidance and professional workshops.

• 2–3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or related field).
• Fresh graduate or 0–1 year of experience (internship experience is an advantage).
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and project life cycles.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exposure to AutoCAD, costing tools or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
• Strong aptitude for learning and soft skills: knack for structuring information and managing tasks efficiently, good written and verbal communication, ability to work with tight deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
