Madre Integrated Engineering | Full time
The Instrument Engineer is responsible for executing and supervising instrument maintenance, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities within Oil & Gas facilities. The role ensures the reliability and performance of field instrumentation, process control systems, and associated equipment while maintaining compliance with company procedures and HSE standards.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Execute instrument loop checking, loop testing, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
- Perform installation, inspection, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of field instruments.
- Carry out hook‑up works for pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
- Calibrate and maintain transmitters, switches, gauges, analyzers, control valves, and valve positioners.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic, electro‑pneumatic, and smart instrumentation systems.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, hook‑up drawings, wiring diagrams, and datasheets.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction teams during shutdowns and project execution.
- Ensure all calibration activities comply with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate calibration records, maintenance reports, and technical documentation.
- Comply with PTW, LOTO, and HSE procedures at all times.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Hands‑on experience in instrument loop testing, hook‑up works, calibration of instruments, and control valves.
- Strong knowledge of transmitters, switches, analyzers, control valves, field instruments, and process control systems.
- Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with HART communicators and calibration equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of PTW, LOTO, and HSE requirements within Oil & Gas facilities.
- Experience in shutdown and turnaround activities is an advantage.
