Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies for Instrumentation and Electrical systems.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve plant reliability and asset integrity.
• Perform ETAP studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Relay Coordination, and Protection Studies.
• Support Instrumented Protective Systems (IPS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Functional Safety, and IEC
  61511 compliance.
• Review equipment reliability, criticality studies, and maintenance strategies.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting complex Instrumentation and Electrical equipment failures.
• Participate in commissioning, start‑up, shutdown, and turnaround activities.
• Support Management of Change (MOC), PSSR, and reliability improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, IEC, IEEE, and international engineering practices.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline;
  Master's Degree preferred.
• 5–7+ years of experience in Instrumentation and/or Electrical Reliability Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, or Process Industries.
• Strong knowledge of Reliability Engineering, RCM, RCA, FMEA, Asset Integrity, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
• Experience with ETAP, DCS, PLC, SIS/IPS, Functional Safety, and IEC
  61511.
• Working knowledge of CMMS/SAP PM and maintenance planning systems.
• Familiarity with Electrical Protection Systems, Relay Coordination, and High/Medium Voltage Distribution Systems.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in plant commissioning, reliability improvement, and technical support is an advantage.
