Apply for Senior Mechanical Engineer at Qatar Multitech Trading and Contracting W.L.L in Doha, DAW, QA. This full‑time on‑site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the design, coordination, execution, and management of mechanical systems for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate shall possess UPDA certification and QCDD certification with extensive knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), international codes and standards, and local authority requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, review, and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, LPG, and other mechanical systems.
  • Manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to commissioning and handover.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, structural engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with QCS, QCDD regulations, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, and other relevant international standards.
  • Obtain approvals from local authorities and support the preparation of technical submissions.
  • Supervise site installation works, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues during construction.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of mechanical systems.
  • Review contractor submittals, material approvals, method statements, and inspection requests.
  • Prepare engineering reports, technical presentations, project schedules, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
  • Participate in value engineering, risk assessment, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in MEP engineering.
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • UPDA Certified Engineer.
  • QCDD Certified Engineer.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, BIM, HAP, Elite, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, and other international engineering standards.
