• Design and implement Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to control hazardous events.
• Develop Functional Safety Requirements including SIS architecture, fail‑safe design and redundancy protocols.
• Implement Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) to trigger safe shutdowns during emergencies.
• Integrate control and safety systems with DCS, PLC, SCADA and other monitoring systems.
• Conduct hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), and layer of protection analysis (LOPA).
• Oversee testing and validation of safety systems, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Lead maintenance and optimization of control safety systems, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with standards such as ATEX, API 670, NFPA 70E, IEC 61508/IEC 61511.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for safety and control systems.
• Lead a team of engineers, technologists and technicians; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead internal training sessions on safety systems.

• 10+ years experience in Control Systems.
• Driving license and vehicle is an added advantage.
