Job PurposeThe Lead Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design of infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design, ensuring compliance with Qatar regulations, international codes, client requirements, and project schedules. The role involves technical leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, client interaction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high‑quality engineering deliverables for water, wastewater, district cooling, utility, transportation, and mixed‑use developments.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership- Lead the mechanical engineering design for infrastructure projects throughout concept, preliminary, detailed design, and tender stages.
- Develop innovative and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Review and approve design calculations, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical reports.
- Ensure designs comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), local authority regulations, and international standards.
- Coordinate mechanical interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, architectural, and utilities teams.

- Monitor project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery of design packages.
- Conduct design reviews and value engineering workshops.
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and government authorities.
- Present engineering solutions and design proposals.
- Support proposal preparation and technical submissions.
- Participate in design review meetings with Ashghal and other authorities.
