Responsibilities
- Undertake testing and commissioning activities in line with specified site requirements.
- Assist the Commissioning Lead Engineer in planning, development, scheduling, progress tracking and reporting.
- Monitor and record all test results, witness final testing and acceptance of equipment, and compile documentation for inclusion in dossiers.
- Ensure the safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve necessary plant performance in accordance with project program requirements.
- Coordinate and lead a multi‑discipline commissioning team on site.
- Interact with Engineering, Construction and Clients Operations teams.
- Manage the completion of walk‑downs and punch lists of offered systems/sub‑systems.
- Update and forward the punch list and other commissioning data and inputs per system to the CMS Admin/Coordinator.
- Ensure technicians work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures and PTW system.
- Coordinate and execute various tests (functional, performance, acceptance, etc.) during pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up stages.
- Ensure all documentation and resources are available to perform scope for pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up activities.
- Coordinate certifying authority witnessing on site.
- Provide operations with technical support throughout start‑up, stabilization and performance testing.
- Supervise the commissioning team to meet scheduled deadlines and maintain technical integrity of work carried out.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned or requested.
- Motivated self‑starter with complex problem‑solving ability.
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pre‑commissioning, commissioning and project completion of medium to large scale projects.
- Prior experience with any Completion Management System (CMS) such as WinPCS is desirable.
- Formal certification in project commissioning is desirable.
- Proficiency in day‑to‑day computer usage and familiarity with regular office applications, drafting, engineering, and project management software.
