Electrical Commissioning Engineer

• Lead the testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform and supervise insulation resistance, continuity, functional, protection relay, and operational tests.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, method statements, and commissioning procedures.
• Supervise and guide electrical technicians during testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate energization, isolation, shutdown, and start-up activities.
• Ensure testing instruments are calibrated and suitable for use.
• Prepare test reports, commissioning records, punch lists, and system handover documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, client, vendor, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and electrical safety standards.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant electrical experience, including significant commissioning experience.
• Strong experience in industrial, power, oil and gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects.
• Sound knowledge of transformers, switch gear, MCCs, motors, generators, UPS systems, cables, protection systems, and control panels.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Experience leading and supervising teams of electrical technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and commissioning documentation.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, electrical isolation, permit-to-work, and HSE procedures.
