ISS International is looking for an Instrument Commissioning Supervisor to be based in offshore Qatar.
Job PurposeThe Instrument Commissioning Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all offshore instrumentation and control system commissioning activities. The role requires strong experience in offshore oil and gas commissioning, pre-commissioning, start-up, and handover activities in accordance with client standards, approved project procedures, and HSE requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate all offshore instrument commissioning activities.
Plan and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, start-up, and handover activities.
Review and implement approved commissioning procedures, method statements, test packs, and project specifications.
Supervise instrument calibration, continuity checks, loop checking, functional testing, and system commissioning.
Coordinate commissioning activities for:
DCS, ESD, PLC, and SCADA systems
Control valves and shutdown valves
Pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments
Analyzers and metering systems
Lead Cause & Effect testing and functional verification.
Coordinate with DCS, ESD, F&G, package equipment, and instrument vendors.
Conduct system walkdowns and coordinate punch-list clearance.
Coordinate with Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Operations, and HSE teams.
Monitor daily progress and provide regular reports to the Commissioning Manager.
Ensure commissioning documentation, test sheets, checklists, and handover dossiers are completed correctly.
Support offshore start-up and operational readiness activities.
Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, SIMOPS, JSA, and client HSE requirements.
Conduct toolbox talks and pre-job safety meetings.
Supervise and mentor Instrument Technicians, Engineers, and commissioning personnel.
Ensure all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to the approved commissioning schedule.
Minimum QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant technical certification in Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Valid offshore safety certification such as BOSIET/FOET.
Valid offshore medical fitness certificate.
H2S certification, where required by the project.
Experience RequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning and start-up activities

Proven experience as an Instrument Commissioning Supervisor, Lead Instrument Engineer, or Senior Instrument Commissioning Engineer
.
Previous experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects is highly preferred.
